Sunset and sunrise in Jakarta...
I was waken by the light penetrating the window. I stirred and squinted my eyes. Staring at the wall in front of me. Yellow orange color was painting the wall. My mind was hazy. Suddenly, my body was fully awake. It struggled to move upward. Felt tired. Wanting to get closer to the window. On the other side of the window far away, I was looking at a ball of glowing fire. I was smiling. My body felt warm... I was happy to be bathing in the ray of light. Ray of sun light. Sun early in the morning. Still haven't fully awake. Silly smiling to myself. From the first day I notice the sun, I woke up in the morning everyday about the same time and looking out to the sun. It was lighting up Jakarta, coating it with orange color. Making silhoutte of the buildings on the horizon... In the photo above, the cloud formation, seems like a big bird moving toward the sun. In Jakarta, there is a famous big bird call Garuda. Me fancy seeing the image of Garuda flying to the sun after the night of protecting Jakarta. This was taken from the hotel I am staying, Hotel Menara Peninsula.
Later in another morning. Toggling the switches on the digital compact, getting reading and snap!
Metering, composing and snap! Another sun rise.
When the sun was higher from the horizon. Looking at the compact digital lcd for the outcome and snap! Another sun rise.
Ok ok.. this is the last of sun rise photo.. hehehe.. all of the sunrise photo was taken from my room..
I was walking along Jalan KH. Hasyim Ashari. I saw the reflection of sunlight on top of the vehicles. It prompted me to take a photo of it. The traffic stopped on the other side of the road, waiting for train to continue its journey. The road on the side where I stand, is empty except for the motorcycle moving in a wrong direction.
I guess I never get to stop myself from taking photo that has a sun in it. I stop again slightly in front (from the previous photo). Took another photo of it. Sunlight is giving live in photo if we choose to capture it. I love sunset and sunrise. I guess everybody do. If view it from right place and the right time, beauty of it can be enjoyed enormously. If view it with someone special, romance is in place. Even though it is brief, it is stamp in our memory for a long time...
It would be better if I can capture the sunset at a nice beach.. hehehe...
